Vincenzo Zappino
Project Director

Economist with more than 15 years of experience in development projects, with particular emphasis on urban development, socio-economic and tourism. He actively participated in more than 60 tourism development projects, urban and socio-economic for the public sector (municipal governments, municipalities, international cooperation, etc..), private one (non-profit, corporations, cooperatives of artisans, etc.) and multilateral institutions (World Bank, Inter American Development Bank, UNDP, European Commission, UNESCO) worldwide. Essentially worked with international institutions to conceptualize, identify, design and implement urban development projects, socio-economic and tourism to promote poverty reduction, social cohesion and development by Micro-Small and Medium Enterprise (MiPyME). Founder of Target Euro in 1997.

For over twenty years working in the field of social statistics, with particular attention to the evaluation of the effects of tourism development in the economic, social and environmental. He has collaborated with leading Italian companies in the field of tourism research and in Ethiopia on the estimate of tourism flows.

Paulo Paganelli is an experienced software developer and IT manager that has been working internationally since 1980. His skills are in analysis and development of commercial and industrial applications. Since 2004, he develops web-based applications in PHP and Java using open standards and technology. His applications include mainly Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) , Business Process Management (BPM) and Energy Administration Systems.

Bernhard Bauer
Data analyst

Since 2009 Bernhard has gained extensive work experience in the sustainable cultural tourism and socio-economic development sector with international project management consultancy firms such as Hydea and Target Euro. He has assisted in Project Management and has been involved in technical assistance of projects in South America (Peru, Colombia, Dominican Republic), Africa (Ethiopia), Asia (Azerbaijan, India, China, Vietnam) and Europe (Italy). Bernhard has been collaborating in the preparation of around 20 project tenders of different donors (EC, World Bank, IADB). Additionally to the sound implementation of bid management processes Bernhard is also experienced in consulting public institutions (Province of Milan/Italy), as a tutor for online teaching courses financed by the IADB, giving lectures about e-commerce development to public commerce institutions in South America, and as a meetings assistant at the OSCE Headquarters in Vienna/Austria. At the University of Vienna he gained a MA degree in Social & Cultural Anthropology (2008), one year later he finished a post-graduate MA in Tourism Management at MIB School of Management in Trieste/Italy. In 2014 Bernhard will submit a dissertation for his PhD programme at the University of Vienna conducting an interdisciplinary research about the commodification of cultural heritage for tourism purposes with a case study in New Orleans, USA.
